Julia Fiona Roberts, born on October 28, 1967, at Atlanta in the United States to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Her grandfather, her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer was one of the first Roberts to arrive in Atlanta. Early on, her father began to take an interest in theater. As a student in Emory University he appeared in diverse productions, both on and off the campus. Following his air force service and appearing in an airforce production in Biloxi along with Betty Lou Bredemus. They married in 1955. Their child, Eric Anthony, was born in 1956. Walter was a student at Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana following his departure from the Air Force in the year 1957. Walter was recruited to work for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to work on the set of Bum Bum and His Buddies, which aired in Decatur Georgia. Walter along with Betty Lou started production in 1964 on the children's local Saturday morning TV show Bum Bum and His Buddies and their Buddies, which they both funded. Later that year they founded The Actors and Writers Workshop which was in operation for six years. They welcomed in 1965 two new children: Lelisa Billingsley and Julia Billingsley.
