Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28 in 1967) was an American actress and singer. She made her acting debut as a teenager. Her most well-known role was as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders and also for playing the character of the character Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. She has 3 siblings. The singer began performing in club nights as a teenager. She would sneak out of her home to perform. When she began studying acting at Wooster School from 13 years old she pursued a degree in drama at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Additionally, she studied in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under renowned Uta Hagen. Her birthplace was in Brookfield on April 28, 1967. Her father is a German American policeman, as well as an auto salesman. Kari's three siblings are all of them. As a teenager performing in nightclubs, she was able to make a name for herself when she would sneak away and take a break. When she was 13 years young, Kari studied acting at the Wooster School, then enrolled in drama studies at Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University, Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College as well as The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art along with the renowned professor Uta Hagen. Kari started performing at the age of a teenager. Her first breakthrough occurred in 1987, when she was introduced to MTV Remote Control.
